Electricity of Mozambique, EP. (EDM), intends to develop the Project of a Photovoltaic Solar Power Station in the District of Chimbunila and an energy transmission line in the City of Lichinga, in the Province of Niassa. The project is part of the Government Policy and EDM’s Strategic Objective, by 2030, to achieve Universal Access to Electric Energy and to develop Renewable Energy projects to be connected to the national electricity grid in order to reinforce the availability of energy in the Region of Lichinga and Chimbunila, and in the Province of Niassa.
